  • The vision for the Animal/Human Bond – Mental Health & Wellbeing Program is to allow this bond to be embraced as an essential element of human wellness.
  • The animal/human bond is a relationship between animals and humans that are influenced by behaviors essential to the health and wellbeing of both. This includes emotional, psychological, and physical interactions of people, animals, and their environment.
  • The animal/human bond is a profound thing, and many people consider their pets as members of the family.
  • Research studies have proven that owning a pet improves a person’s physical and mental health.

HSoMC – MYPAW Youth Development Program (Midland Youth Promoting Animal Welfare):

 

The Humane Society of Midland County has a youth membership program specifically designed for youth 8-17 years of age.

MYPAW Mission: To help the Humane Society of Midland County raise awareness for fundraising and educating our youth community on caring for animals.

The idea with the MYPAW program is to educate our youth about animal welfare, safety and prevention, literacy safe place, and building better humans with youth development responsibilities.
