Important Updates to Our Vet Clinic Services
Effective January 1, 2025, the following changes will take place:

Dog Spay and Neuter Pricing:
The cost for spay and neuter services for dogs will increase to $130. Prices for cats will remain unchanged. -
Mandatory Appointment Deposits:
- Spay/Neuter Appointments: A $20 deposit is required to secure your appointment.
- Vaccine Clinic Appointments: A $15 deposit is required to secure your appointment slot.
- Deposit Policy:
Deposits are mandatory to reserve your spot and will turn into a donation to the clinic if the appointment is not kept. - Appointments Only:
Our clinic is now appointment-only. To make an appointment, please use our online scheduling system. If you do not have internet access, please call the shelter directly to schedule your appointment.*

Surgery
All healthy cats and dogs over the age of eight (8) weeks of age and weighing at least two (2) pounds are eligible for surgery.
All animals receive the following:
- Veterinarian Exam
- Full anesthesia
- Spay or Neuter Surgery performed by a licensed veterinarian
- Tattoo on Abdomen
- High-quality pain medications
- Nail Trim
- Tender Loving Care
Services and Surgical Fees
Prices:
Dogs $130
Cats $75
Cryptorchid Dog (undescended testicle) +$50
Cryptorchid Cat (undescended testicle) +$25
After you schedule your appointment, you will receive an email with a link to prepay a couple of days before your appointment if you are able to do so.
If you are not able to prepay via the emailed link, please bring a credit or debit card to pay on the day of your appointment. If paying by card is not an option, please bring cash. Note: We do not accept Care Credit or checks.
Vaccines
Vaccines and other services are available at the time of surgery. Please see below for more information.
The Humane Society of Midland County recommends that all dogs and cats are fully vaccinated before coming for surgery. Vaccinations administered the day of surgery do not offer any immediate immunity.

Cats
- Rabies Vaccine (1 year): $15
- Rabies Vaccine (3 year): $15 (Prior rabies vaccination proof needed.)
- FVRCP Vaccine: $15
- FIV/FeLV Test: $25
- E-Collar / Cone: $10
- Microchip: $20
- Flea Treatment: $15
Dogs
- Rabies Vaccine (1 year): $15

- Bordetella Vaccine (Kennel Cough): $15
- Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP) Vaccine: $15
- E-Collar / Cone: $10

- Heartworm Test: $15

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Information
To ensure a smooth experience, please note the following times for your scheduled appointment:
- Drop-Off: Between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM
- Pick-Up: 4:00 PM on the same day
What to Expect
- Check-In: Park in our parking lot and text us at 989-898-0835 with your pet’s name.
- Please keep your pet in the car until your appointment time.
- We’ll send you a message when we’re ready to bring your pet inside.
Vaccination
- Use the ramp to the side door to access the vaccine clinic.
- Exit: After your appointment, please exit through the front porch door to help keep the flow moving smoothly.
Paperwork
- All paperwork, including rabies certificates and testing results, will be emailed to you after your pet’s services are completed.
